Ford Free Tuesdays at San Francisco's Legion of Honor Museum

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, comprised of the de Young
Museum and the Legion of Honor, is continuing the popular Ford Free
Museum Days program, a partnership between the museum and Ford Motor
Company Fund. As part of this program, general admission to the Legion
of Honor museum is free every Tuesday.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco’s Lincoln Park, the museum is considered by many to be San Francisco’s most beautiful. It is a replica of the 18th century landmark, la Légion d'Honneur, in Paris. The collections span 4000 years and include major holdings in Rodin sculpture; paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Watteau, de la Tour, Vigée Le Brun, Cézanne, Monet, and Picasso, among other Dutch, Italian, German, English, and French masters; a 15th century Spanish ceiling, European decorative arts, tapestries, and more than 70,000 prints and drawings. The Legion of Honor is also home to a wide array of major traveling exhibitions; some of which may require an admission fee. Nationwide the Ford Motor Company Fund, through their Ford Free Museum Days program, allows people in five cities to visit partner museums free of charge. They are as follows:
