Excellent Seafood - Healthy Sides
At the corner of West Bay Dr. and Indian Rocks Beach on the West Coast of Florida, just south of downtown Clearwater, discover a growing selection of local and brand name restaurants.
What diner wouldn't like the chance to select from E & E Stakeout Grill that has been situated here for many years and fronts Indian Rocks Beach. In recent years, it has been joined by Cody's Original Roadhouse and Panera Bread (both across the street on West Bay). Next door, also on West Bay Dr. is Marlin Darlin and Bonefish Grill. All that's to say, in the event you didn't make reservations or don't want to wait in line, there are plenty of options.
The menu at Marlin Darlin has a strong list of small plates, as well as flatbreads. The overall theme of the menu is seafood with a Key West twist. Whether served grilled, seared, crispy, beer-battered or any way in between, you won't be disappointed. The mahi mahi, Chilean sea bass and grouper all get thumbs up. Are you sure we aren't in The Keys?

Staff at the bar and table side are busy but attentive and quite proficient.
Try the homestead salad, then enjoy the healthy side items. Loved the mashed sweet potatoes. The collard greens, often only found in the deep South, are now being seen on Florida menus - which is about as far from The South as one can get.
Marlin Darlin has been added to the "gotta do this again the next time we're in town" list.
