Georgia Things to Do

Like many East Coast states, Georgia’s geography encompasses beaches and mountains. Beautiful oceanfront landscapes – Jekyll Island, Sea Island and Tybee Island, provide the setting for shorebirds, sea turtles and lighthouses. In the mountains, discover natural attractions like waterfalls and beautiful Callaway Gardens. Macon’s music heritage and Augusta’s championship golf can’t compare to southern home cooking served in a local restaurant. Georgia’s colonial history is evident in Savannah, while the Antebellum Trail highlights small towns that escaped the ravages of Civil War battles. Metro Atlanta is the New South with vast things to do. Lodging options include seaside hideaways, cabins, inns, hotels and resorts.
