Start Your Day with Kellogg's Cereal City USA™ at Battle Creek, Michigan

ATTRACTION NOW CLOSED - The Kellogg Company, like many manufacturing companies, no longer allows the general public in their production facility for tours. To accommodate the public's interest in Kellogg products, a combination museum, factory tour and theme attraction was opened, Kellogg's Cereal City USA™. It all began in the late 1800s, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg was superintendent of the Battle Creek Sanitarium and Health Spa in Michigan. Will Keith (W.K.) Kellogg, his younger brother, oversaw the business operations. They sought to teach people how to eat and live healthy. Along with Dr. Kellogg's wife, they created many products and sought to find a replacement for bread. By accident one of their experiments created flakes. Later, W.K. Kellogg went on to found Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company and Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®.

Kellogg's Cereal City USA™ commemorates the colorful history of the cereal industry from the early 1900s to present with information on health, nutrition and advertising, a simulated Corn Flakes production line, state-of-the-art theaters, interactive games, exhibits and many other attractions. If you're a Tony the Tiger® fan, it' s possible to join him and his friends (for a nominal fee) for breakfast. Advance reservations are required and include admission to the museum and a souvenir.

The Travel Channel lists Kellogg’s Cereal City USA among the top two “best factory tours for kids” and in the top five “fun factory tours.” Disney’s Family Fun Web site states, “Kellogg’s Cereal City USA will bowl your kids over.”
