The 424-acre park, named for the gorge that divides the property, occupies the former summer retreat of the Halle family. The nature center with exhibits, shows and a store occupies an outbuilding of the previous owners. A miniature steam powered train seasonally operates within the park. The park has hiking trails, picnic areas and the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center showcasing native species. Naturalist programs are offered.
