Three Letter Airport Code Breaker

Major airports all have a unique three letter airport code to identify them. An old airline system, it is used for a variety of purposes. Airline personnel are able to read tickets with the abbreviated code at a glance much easier than they would if the full airport and city name were listed. This allows them to keep the line moving quickly. Next! Baggage handlers too can quickly identify where a checked bags needs to be, based on the bag tag information. It's all about getting you and your luggage to the same destination at the same time, as quickly as possible.
