Washington Things to Do

Many know Seattle because of its attractions: Space Needle, Klondike Gold Rush Park, Pikes Place Market, the Experience Music Project and cruises for Alaska. There are plenty of things to do on the water: take the ferry, kayak around Puget Sound or go whale watching near the San Juan Islands. Tacoma showcases art, glass and history museums, Spokane is filled with a broad landscape for outdoor recreation while Fort Vancouver on the Columbia River was the first city. Explore Mount Rainer or Mount St. Helens, both volcanoes, or Olympic National Park. Learn about aviation, Native American heritage and then explore the Cascade Mountains. Savor fresh fish and produce in restaurants. Stay in hotels, B&Bs, inns, resorts and cabins.
