Green Bay, Wisconsin: Outdoor Winter Activities Abound

When the weather gets cold in Packer Country, the action gets hot outdoors with the excitement cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowtubing, so it's no time for hibernation.

Grab the poles, slip into the bindings and hit the trails for a spectacular winter experience on Packer Country’s extensive system of cross-country skiing trails. With plenty of rolling landscape and abundant snowfall you are sure to find the perfect trail whether you are a seasoned pro looking for a challenge, or a first-timer just out to try something new.

For those looking to get the adrenaline pumping with a little more power, Packer Country is a snowmobiler’s paradise. Whether cruising across the open farmlands or enjoying the scenery while cruising along the Lake Michigan shoreline, riders can get up-to-date trail conditions and trail maps by calling the Brown County Snowmobile Alliance, Kewaunee County Snowmobiling or Manitowoc County Snowmobile Trails.

Children of all ages fill the air with laughter during a day of snowtubing down hills. Open weekends all winter long, the Winter Sports Complex in Kewaunee thrills young and old alike with five snowtubing chutes, each more than 500-feet long. And the fun doesn’t stop when you reach the bottom. Simply grab a hold of the towrope and enjoy the ride back to the top of the 150-foot high hill. Snow lovers in Green Bay can head over to the Triangle Sports Area for a day of fun on the 350-foot long tubing runs.

Hey, where's the hot cocoa?
