Things to Do in Maryland

Much of Maryland is affected by water - Chesapeake Bay, its many tributaries and the Atlantic Ocean. History lovers will find many things to do in Annapolis, the capital, home of the U.S. Naval Academy, plus sailing, or try Baltimore’s attractions – the harbor, aquarium, zoo and nearby Fort McHenry. On its Eastern Shore, find the beach resort Ocean City and Assateague Island.  Travel into the country to St. Mary’s City, the first capital, now a museum, the Civil War’s Antietam National Battlefield and St. Michael’s with quaint shops and a maritime museum. A great side trip from Washington, DC, for blue crabs or crabcakes. They’re a staple at area restaurants. Find everything from hotels, B&Bs, inn, condos and vacation rentals.
